Likewise, Ernest had been scheduled to die by injection at a state prison in Bonne Terre, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) south of St. Louis, on Tuesday evening. This would be the seventh execution in the United States this year.

Jeremy asked for a stay of execution to the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday.

Unfortunately, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson declined to grant Clemency to Ernest Johnson.
