Born on December 9, 1977, The 43 years aged Italian musician has recently married the gorgeous Rhiannon Giddens ( American musician and Carolina Chocolate Drops founder ).

Early Life Details and Career

Francesco’s passion for jazz, piano, and early music made him leave his native Italy in 1997.

Afterward, he obtained his Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree at the Hague’s Royal Conservatory. Accordingly, he has been working successfully as a freelance musician since 2004.

The multi-instrumentalist currently performs on piano, accordion, organ,  harpsichord, cello banjo, various lutes, frame, and goblet drums. Likewise, he has also recorded for Warner, Virgin, Naive, and Alpha on several tracks.

Following his passion, Francesco’s primary source of earning used to be freelance music-making. Although this may be true, his net worth is yet to be calculated as of 2021.

Francesco has successfully released five albums as a leader and two as co-leader until now (“Tarab,” a blend of Irish and Mediterranean traditional music, and “Zahr,” a project that connects southern Italian traditional music and Arabic music).

The Irish Times praised his latest piano solo album “Northern Migrations” as “delicate, wistful and wholly engrossing.”

In 2018 Grammy award-winning singer and multi-instrumentalist Rhiannon Giddens (also Francesco’s wife ) collabs on a duo project that combines Mediterranean music with the African diaspora in the Americas. Later on, they released their gravely approved duo album “there is no Other.”
